Speedy Blupi / Mods

Modding "Speedy Blupi" means one or more of the following actions:

sound (WAV or MIDI) files in the installation directory are modified
graphics (BMP) files in the installation directory are modified
Levels (BLP) files are modified. Sometimes all the levels are replaced by the new ones (main hub, world hubs, words)
EXE file is modified (disassembling / EXE file hexadecimal editing)

Vas709 Mod

Vas709 Mod is an enhanced edition of the Speedy Eggbert 2 game. It features 8 levels across all worlds, a final level, multiplayer missions, and replay missions. The mod introduces new blocks, elements, buttons, backgrounds, and sounds. This is the final version of the mod. ^[1] ^[2]

Vas709 Mod - Special Edition

The Special Edition mod is a short version of the Vas709 Mod. It features fewer levels than the final version, but retains the same sound effects and graphical designs. If you prefer a shorter playthrough, you can use this mod.^[1] ^[2]

Eggventure

Speedy Eggbert - The Eggventure is an incomplete mod of Speedy Eggbert 1. It currently features 8 Dream levels and includes new graphical designs. Some elements from the Vas709 Mod, such as keys, doors, and sound effects, have also been incorporated into The Eggventure mod.^[1] ^[2]

Speedy Blupi for Windows Phone levels ported to Speedy Blupi for Windows

There exists a conversion script written in Python.

These levels will be impossible to play on an unmodified game EXE file due to the conflicting block IDs.

Converting is simple back and forth to the old format.

Hardcore

Hardcore is essentially a modified version of Speedy Eggbert that increases the difficulty.

Sounds were modified too.

Restoring dream blocks in Speedy Blupi 2

This mod reinstates dream blocks in Speedy Blupi 2, allowing you to play any level from Speedy Blupi 1 in Speedy Blupi 2.

Instructions: Place the executable file into the installation directory. Move the OBJECTQ.BLP file into the image16 folder.

Speedy Blupi 2 - remastered by Jesse Savoie

Some of the changes:

All sprite sheets are now evenly spaced, simplifying the creation of texture mods.
Most textures have been updated to 16-bit color, assuming your computer can handle it (unless you're still using Windows 95 or a similar old system).
BMP, MID, WAV, and XCH files are correctly named, with only a few BLP files remaining in the data folder.
Dream blocks no longer change into kids blocks in SB2.
Music tracks #1 and #7 have been fixed to remove the long silence at the end.
Various visual glitches and animation errors have been corrected.
Use F7 for x4 speed and F8 for x8 speed.
The windowed resolution has been changed to 640x480 from the previous 640x477.
The CD requirement has been removed (offset was changed: 4f6(for SB1) or 506 (for SB2) from 75 to eb)

Opinions may vary on what should be fixed and what should remain unchanged (for instance, the unavoidable bomb in SB1’s mechanic level 2).

Few another things could be improved too.

Images ends with ".bmp", not ".blp".

Sounds ends with ".wav", not ".blp".

Music files ends with ".midi", not ".blp".

Sprites in BLP (BMP) files are on a square grid

Every frame of Blupi's animation in the mod is organized by internal ID, so many animations are already in the correct order. Here’s blupi000 from the mod as a transparent PNG:
