How to run on Linux
Use Wine: https://www.winehq.org/
There are some issues, when you run the Windows version of Speedy Blupi/Eggbert on Linux via Wine.
There exists fixes for some of these issues. Some fixes were not yet found.
Background music does not work (Maybe Qsynth or an alternative fixes this issue)
- Note: Sound game effect works
Multiplayer mode does not work. Installing directplay into Wine should fix it (successfully tested): winetricks directplay
Saving custom levels to XCH files does not work
Loading custom levels from XCH files does not work
How to fix now working background music
This was not yet tested. An investigation is needed.
- Install Qsynth from Discover
- Download a soundfont (http://www.vogonsdrivers.com/getfile.php?fileid=500)
- Load the soundfont into Qsynth (Setup>Soundfonts tab>Open)
- Set Qsynth to start minimised to the system tray (Options>Check Enable system tray icon and Start minimized to system tray)
Make the EXE files run without DirectX installed
