X86S was planned big innovation of the x86 architecture introduced by Intel in Spring 2023.
X86S was cancelled by Intel in December 2024. [3][4][5][6]
- The reason is to reduce the costs, because Intel has financial issues in 2024.
Intel now continues to improve the "standard x86" architecture.
In October 2024 Intel and AMD founded the x86 Ecosystem Advisory Group [7]
